The Problem
Tracking purchases across Gmail, Amazon, and multiple credit cards meant hours of manual spreadsheet work. Categorization was inconsistent and purchases were frequently missed.
The Approach
Built a pipeline connecting Gmail API, Amazon order CSV imports, and credit card feeds into Firestore. Claude API parses each purchase email automatically, extracting item, price, category, vendor, and date.
The Result
974 items tracked with purchase history back to 2012. Runs unattended with no daily interaction required. Exports to a structured Excel workbook on demand.
